For portable devices requiring a cost effective active GPS stub style antenna, the GPS-Stubby from EAD Antennas is a neat solution.

If traditional flat style, external, magnetic or adhesive patch antennas are not suitable, a direct mount active stub antenna might just do the trick. The GPS-Stubby antenna is compact and SMA direct-mounted and with an integrated LNA offering 26 dB of effective gain.
