Fixed Gas Discharge Tube arrestors provide wideband performance and excellent all-around protection from lightning and other transient sources. These arrestors will pass DC current, and their RF Power rating is defined by the Gas Discharge Tube Operating Voltage. Gas Discharge Tube based devices generally have extremely wide pass band ranges. In fact, all fixed GDT units cover from a low frequency of DC or 0Hz up to their maximum rating in the GHz range within a single arrestor. Some example pass band ranges from NexTek’s range of standard arrestors include DC-3GHz, DC-6GHz, and DC-12GHz.
